Ok so now that I've started to wear beanies I'm really struggling to stop. Allows you to wear far less everywhere else though. Oh and it turns out this Zara coat does have pockets! They were just stitched tighter than coat pockets usually are. Very hungover so I'm struggling to think of anything interesting to say to be honest... Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

I was recently asked whether I could style some American Apparel tube socks into my wardrobe and it just so happens that I ordered a pair a couple of days earlier. So this is how I chose to style them! A lot of you have been asking for me to show more of my streetwear and menswear influences and seeing as that is what I'm leaning towards more these days I will definitely continue to share these outfits with you. And I know it's December and I have bare legs but it was surprisingly mild today... it's actually colder inside my house than out. That is just not right.

Oh and if you're into deep house, which I've recently been getting into, you HAVE to listen to this mix. Makes me excited for no reason whatsoever. Ridiculous intro too. If you know where it's been sampled from big love coming your way. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Ok so it's likely I won't ever own 80% of this extremely aspirational Christmas list of mine but it looks pretty. I could have gone on for forever but these are a few things I've been keeping a close eye on... including these Damir Doma derby shoes replacing my unashamed love for creepers, Alexander Wang's jacquard cropped sweater in a bright lime colour (which I'm becoming increasingly more drawn to recently), and Label M's resurrection style dust. I saw my friend Ellen sprinkle what looked like sticky talcum powder on her hair before a night out and when I asked what it was she showed me the results and my god does it work. It adds texture and volume to clean hair which I think we all know I'm not a fan of. No more hiding for a day after I finally decide to wash mine...

Also I've added more stuff to my online shop. Adding more over the next couple of weeks so keep checking as they're selling fast!

THE MORE OF YOU THE MERRIER

I've been struggling to find a coat that caters to what I guess you could call my split or slightly confused style, so after a lot of umming and arring about what coat to buy I finally chose this one from Zara. It can be dressed up with ankle boots, opaque tights and a dress (not that I ever wear dresses these days) or down with skinny jeans, a hoodie and Vans. The only downside is that it has no pockets but I'm sure it's nothing a pen knife and a needle and thread can't sort out. Oh and I can now FINALLY say I own this Michael Kors watch thanks to my babe of a friend Sarah. Best. Just took these quickly while out in Chester with my friends Hadyn and Josh before I had to get the train to London. It was getting dark and my camera still isn't working so apologies for the quality...

Also WHAT IS HAPPENING TO BLOGGER? All of my past photos are blurred, which means I'd have to change them all individually. Not on Blogger, not on.

GRAZIA'S BEST DRESSED 'BLOG BRAG' BLOGGER

So you may remember me talking about Grazia Daily's Blog Brag Night a few weeks ago, which took place at the Speakeasy Espresso and Brew Bar in Soho. As well as drinking wine and eating lots of amazing cakes and stuff my friend Caia and I exchanged cards with other bloggers and were asked to be interviewed (not going to lie, I was absolutely terrified. Surprisingly I hate any form of public speaking). I met some lovely, inspirational people and went away thinking nothing would come of it. Turns out I ended up winning the Grazia Daily Best Dressed Blogger award!

I just want to say a huge thank you to Angela Buttolph and the rest of the Grazia Daily team for the award and feature on their website, which you can view here. Excuse the first photo… phone camera photos don't do me any favours. Still can't quite believe I managed to gain all of this, as well as a few styling opportunities, all for walking into Speakeasy slightly tipsy and blissfully unaware of what I was walking into. Very excited to receive my goodies in the post too. Maybe I'll start drinking free champagne more often…

If I were to swap my university lectures for a working day in the industry this is the kind of thing I'd wear... these ombre wedges and structured satchel can be toned down with a chunky sweater and tailored joggers, and the oversized watch picks up the gold detail on the bag tying the whole look together. Love that rich aubergine, and I can't help but add some form of casual masculinity to an outfit... ever it seems.
